IGF 2022 High-Level Track

Sahar Albazar is the Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Egyptian Parliament. She was recently selected as the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee for the Majority Political Party. 

She is an Executive Board Member of the Parliamentarians for Global Action representing 150 countries. She is also the Chair of the Women Parliamentary Council for the Parliamentary network on the World Bank and IMF. Additionally, She is the former President of the IPU Forum of Young Parliamentarians.

In 2022, she was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and was selected as a World Fellow by Yale University. 

 In 2024, She was selected as Asia Global Fellow by Hong Kong University & as Obama Leader representing Africa. 

Sahar holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.
